Tuba 003 are pleased to announce their latest release, from New Zealand’s slickest dubstep export, Truth.
“All Alone” The headline track of this huge new release is a boisterous, spiky number, revelling in the darker side of dance music. Representing Truth’s audacious approach to bass music, “All Alone” builds soaring sculptural soundscapes, before making its serpentine ambush with snare drum attacks. Rupturing basslines and emotionally charged with screaming vox, “All Alone” screams insanity, depravity and iniquity.
“Good and Evil” Introspective, sinister ambient sonics are counterbalanced by an undertow of carefully composed wobble, demonstrating once again Truth’s senstivity to crafting densely textural, shadowy tracks, that invoke the animalistic forces of human nature, and juxtpose them with the euphoric release of hedonism. Like a tender New Zealand lamb to the slaughter, “Good and Evil” takes lashings from saw wave basslines, a sacrifice to the God of bass music.
Truth are a critically acclaimed DJ/Producer duo (Andre Fernandez,Tristan Roake). Previous collaborations include he Nextmen, Miss Dynamite, Shapeshifter, The Black Seeds, Optimus Gryme, Silkie, Kromestar, Tunndige and countless others. With three European tours, two American tours, and numerous Australian and Asian dates under their belts, Truth have ammassed a cult following on the international scene, building a presence through DJ support from Mala, Skream, Joe Nice, Youngsta, Hatcha and N-Type, giving their music a core presence at key clubnights like DMZ in London, Club Love in New York and with support coming in from key radio stations such as BBC Radio One, Kiss and Rinse FM in the UK.

AxH (formerly Grizzly) has been dedicated to bass music and DJ-ing for over a decade. Based in Boston, MA, AxH got his start as Prodigal Son, producing Ragga Jungle that received praise and plays all over the world. He has been releasing music digitally and on wax since 2004, and has played coast to coast in North America, supporting his releases. 2008 saw AxH perform in Kiev, Ukraine, a set that people are still talking about.
He has become a prolific producer as he’s honed his deep, dark, and heavy style. His debut dubstep album is due out on Brooklyn based TUBA Records early 2012. AxH is one of the residents for BASSIC Boston; Boston’s premiere dubstep night where he can be heard dropping entire sets of his original tracks. The second release from Dubs Alive’s sister label, TUBA, features the deep and intense sound of the UK’s J:Kenzo. His A side track, Nocturnal Feelings Is a dark, serious work that brilliantly juxtaposes hard bass lines, frantic percussion, and atmospheric depth.
The B side debuts The Spit Brothers on vinyl with Beg to Differ, a sub driven, meditative, and minimalistic affair.
The record closes with DJG’s Reformat of Beg to Differ. This forward thinking track showcases DJG’s intelligent approach to bass music. His reformat balances the deep with the dance oh-so-well.
